ATTITUDE MATTERS by Zainab Aliasgar

“Positive thinking takes me far”, this is all what Harry thought about day and night. He was totally unique, a person you would love to hate. He would mostly stay in a good mood and always have something positive to say. When someone would ask him about how he was doing, he used to reply, “If I were any better, I’d be twins.”

JERRY'S DILEMMA by Ruqaiya Khomosi

“Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose”.

The day had again started with the wrangling of Jerry, an eighteen year old teenager, and his mother Martha. Jerry spent most of his time on the computer controlling games or creating digital arts. Jerry was a striking student in the field of Arts but his mother wanted him to pursue commerce.

A MEMORABLE DISASTER by Behla Mustansir

Childhood Childhood Ahhh... To be a child. What a wonderful thought. The memory of childhood is probably clouded with the early school fights in the sandbox, and the inevitable mother-distributed lunch boxes. If that is the case, I am sorry. Childhood for me, was so far above and beyond all that. What do I mean? Well I will tell you... So, if you are comfortable, we shall begin…

HAVING EMPATHY by

One fine day I was in the park having a good time with my best friend Alex, we were swinging and dangling on trees and having loads of fun. While we were having our good time an impecunious boy with filthy, unwashed clothes came near us and started to frisk and frolic cheerfully. My wealthy friend got surprised and told me “look at that filthy kid, I wonder how is he so cheerful when we consider his circumstances.” Alex started to make faces. The boy saw Alex and ignored him even though he was making rude faces.

ENCOURAGING SPORTS by Ibrahim Saasa

In this time of era with all sorts of electronics, from game boys to big consoles; from smartphones to huge laptop- Children are not playing sports and usually find their faces 2-inches away from the screen and turned themselves into a couch potato. Children constantly need to be reminded that too much of something is not good and that if they keep playing on their phones it’ll cause damage to their bodies and eyes.

NEVER FORGET YOUR FRIEND by Ibrahim Saasa

In the city of Greece lived a young man named, Ben-one of the smartest in the city. Living by his own rules, Ben was a special individual. Ben had no siblings and was an only child. Which led him to be even more responsible. Since he was a small toddler, he liked everything organized. It is very rare to find a young man at his age not interested in the technology other children are unusually fond of. Ben asks for books while others ask for phones, tablets etc.

It’s a place where you can socialize, educate yourself, have fun and be part of the latest trends and traditions. MY DADIMA AND ME by Hatim Najmi

I was running towards my beautiful dadima when I fell and started bawling; my dadima came sprinting towards me and held my small hands and consoled me lovingly. That’s how I remember my lovely dadima! When I was hungry, she made me my favourite biryani. She always kept Lifesavers (my favourite sweet) in her bag and I still remember how her face lit up when I kissed her hand in gratitude.

THE SELF REALISATION by Zainab Mustafa

The nurse knocked at the door, handing me a medical report of my grandfather. I was dying to know what really happened to my grandfather. As I unfolded, the envelope there came very unfortunate and unwelcoming news that said that my grandfather had a very dreadful cancer.

THE EVACUEES by Rashida Amir

During the Second World War, children were evacuated from cities in England. They were taken in the country to keep them safe from aircraft bombing raids. The children’s parents did not go with them-they went alone.

This is the story of two such children.

The train pulled to a halt. Mary and John were led with the other children from the station to the village hall. A number of local villagers and farmers had gathered to choose who they look after. A large burly farmer and his wife who had a smiley face beamed down at Mary and John.

“Khadija it is your responsibility to bake the cake! “were the words reoccurring in my head for the past few moments. It’s my sister’s felicitous birthday today and we are planning an incredible surprise party. As the rest of my troop headed to the courtyard, I started looking for the perfect recipe for the festivity. After contemplating for a while, I decide to bake my sister’s favourite Butterfinger Cake.

UNVEILING THE REIGN OF FRIGHT by Arwa Vora

It is okay to dislike someone, it is even okay to dislike someone for no reason but it is not okay to disrespect , degrade and humiliate them because blowing out their candle doesn’t make the bully’s any brighter… pulling someone down will never reach you to the top. Isn’t it kind of silly to think that tearing someone down builds you up?

One day, in my science class, my teacher was teaching us about what different types of food contain and how they are harmful or beneficial for us human beings. She made us make a table with healthy and unhealthy foods, each on one side. It was an informative and creative class. That day I learned something very new and very informative but it wasn’t enough to open my eyes.

As you cross the path of success, you are going to be knocked down a number of times, not physically though but mentally. MEMORIES By Taha Nagdawala

“Memories are the only paradise from which we can never be expelled”

Jean Paul Richter

So, what are memories? Memories are an important cognitive process, which helps us to record the past so that we can refer to it later, as and when required. Without memory there would be no past, but only the present.

MEMORIES by Fatema Boorjiwala

MEMORIES…what are they? How do they make you feel? They are the only things which will last forever.
In today’s world there are many gadgets which can restore your life with just pictures but happy memories are the only ones which has the strength of making your lips twitch into a smile. So many years, so many days, so many thoughts, so much time. It flows together- forever.

LUNA'S DESTINY by Munira Murtaza

“A visit to the hospital is so boring !“ exclaimed Luna when her teacher told the class that they were going to visit patients as an educational trip. Luna is a bright kid you might ask. Wrong, she is not a bright student at all! For her, a few hours in school seem interminable, she simply could not imagine spending time at the hospital; little did she know that the next few hours would change her life forever.

THE SCHOOL PRANK by Sakina Kousarali Barbarawala

It was another usual morning. I woke up and got ready, went down to the bus stop and waited for its arrival. Soon the bus came and I hopped on. I took my seat while my friends were discussing about something. I tried to listen to their conversation and found that they were planning. Planning for a prank.

MY ASPIRATIONS FOR THE WORLD by Zahra Tambawala

Imagine, a world filled with worries, persistent pressure, harsh hardships, traumatic tension, do you prefer what you see? Nobody would encourage to live in a world painted with pulverizing pressure. Still, there is no changing to the fact that your world is nothing but a mere reflection of your imagination.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN LIFE by Shabbir Rasheed

To succeed is dodging complications and hurdles. To establish an aim, a goal, a target in life. To evade futile discouragement. To contemplate ‘my goal is plausible’. And to achieve the impossible.

WHY I CAN SUCCEED IN LIFE by Hatim Amin

Being successful is every man’s dream and it has always been an aim for mankind to succeed in life, yet no one has ever claimed that they have succeeded and have no more goals, no more visions.

ONE THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Sarrah Vaziri

To start off I want to say that the world cannot be described as imperfect because who would know what would happen to us if the world was full of things we wish there were. The world isn’t perfect; it just is what it is.

HOW I CAN SUCCEED IN LIFE by Rukaiya Aliasgar

Everybody wants to succeed in life. For some success means whatever they desire or dream. For many it is the name, fame and social position. For some, the meaning of success is something which makes a man immortal.

ECO- FRIENDLY TOURIST MONSTER by Rabab Taher

One deadly night, when the wind was howling and the doors creaking, my father was busy constructing a lamp that appeared so ugly. I could not sleep the whole night as some sound was constantly heard coming out of it.

MYTH OF STEGA BADDY by Qusai Calcuttawala

On a deadly terrible night the wind was blowing and the trees were howling like werewolves, also the moon was high and there was an enormous gigantic lab seen under the thunderous lightning.

ONE THING I WANT TO CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Ajab Barbhaya

Usually, while walking in a public area, a lot of us feel insecure, we tend to think how everybody is watching, taking in our appearance, judging us by our color, weight or clothes. That makes us feel uncomfortable, making us feel that we aren’t good enough, that we aren’t beautiful, BUT, WHY?

A PERSON WHO CHANGED MY LIFE by Taha Nagdawala

Who is your ideal? Who are you influenced by? Mom, dad (family) or anyone else? Mine is none other than my sweet, gracious mom. She is the most generous person I have ever seen. She has always been my role model.

THE PERSON WHO CHANGED MY LIFE by Tasneem Gadiwala

Every library period would be much awaited. I would and search through the shelves of books. Enid Blyton, no… a little childish--- Jill Murphy, no way! Extremely childish! Roald Dahl’s “George’s Marvelous Medicine” is what I found next. “Hmmm…let’s give this us a try.” I thought.

THE PERSON WHO CHANGED MY LIFE by Amatullah Numberdar

Dumb, hopeless and useless were the only words Alice knew. Alice-a small girl – studied in kg 2, Elementary school. Alice was a quiet girl with a cute, chubby face (just like a marshmallow) and blonde, silky hair. She wore a white pinafore with blue checks. Alice didn’t speak much and that is the reason nobody understood her and made fun of her.

ONE THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Arwaa Akbar Ali

Our world is such a magnificent creation. When you really think of it, it is a gift given to us without expecting anything in return, but for us to take care of it. People should be grateful for the place we live in. But taking care of our world doesn’t only mean to prevent pollution and decreasing global warming. It also means changing the thinking of the people living here; to change their thoughts and their opinion.

ONE THING I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Insiya Saifee

It’s hard to do it. I know that. But, maybe if I don’t make people aware of it today, I might never get a chance again. You might be thinking what I am talking about. Right?
I am talking about all of us!! Our actions! Our doings! Do you know how our earth looked thousands of years ago?

ONE THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Khadija Juzer

If you want to change the world pick up your pen and write. Everyone deserves just as much respect as anyone else, as all men are created equal; why do people treat each other so horribly?

MY ASPIRATIONS FOR THE WORLD by Murtaza Lilwala

We all have heard about nuclear weapons, but are aware about the dangers and ethical problems associated with them?

MY ASPIRATIONS FOR THE WORLD by Mustafa Salim

Undoubtedly one of the most tense, nerve wracking moments of my life.
I don’t think I’ve ever been able to feel every possible emotion juggling within me all at once.

A PERSON THAT CHANGED MY LIFE by Sherbano Amirali

The unexpected is what always occurs whereas the expected is left behind. On every step, a situation is thrown at you; you are tested whether you are able to dodge it or not?
You are unaware of what the next few seconds are going to bring. Unquestionably everyday something out of the box happens but you never predict whether that happening will be positive or negative.

MY ASPIRATION FOR THE WORLD by Taher Akbar Ali

War, racism, hate, destruction, grief, depression and loneliness is only a part of our community, but we need to stand against it.

A PERSON WHO CHANGED MY LIFE by Yaakuta Vepari

Life is so unpredictable; it's just like a loose canon. One moment you think your dreams are coming true. Whereas, the very next you find that you were actually dreaming.

TAKE A STAND, LEND A HAND by Rukaiyah Aliasgar

Thousands of parents cry every day, thousands of parents get into depression every day, why? Just because hundreds of students are forced to commit suicide or think about suicide and for what do they do this… Bullying.

ARSON, BURNING FIRE by Ummehani Shabbir
